Well, good-bye early 20’s

I turned 26 last year and it felt like nothing happened. For a while, I’ve felt like I never grew out of my early 20’s…Sadly, age has begun to catch up to me and I’m starting to feel…old…okay fine, I’m being overly dramatic :p. I have to say here are few things that are not helping me come to terms with the fact I’m turning 27 in a couple of months:

1) I used to be able to stay awake at night during an entire movie. Now, not so much. I attempted to watch The Amazing Spider Man and passed out half-way through. Oh yea, I’m the life of the party.

2) Sometimes, I just don’t care what I wear to bed, as long as I get to sleep. Yoga pants look good enough when my eyes won’t stay awake. Keep in mind, this only happens during non-stressful days.

 3) I know I’m getting old when I forget things more often than my mom!

 Me:”Ohhhhh!! I gotta tell you! I saw…”

Mom: “yeah, you told me about that.”

Me: “hm, no I didn’t”

Mom: “yea, you did. You’re getting old :p!”

4) You think that’s bad? What if I told you I’m starting to pass up the chance to get rid of spiders, just because I’m too tired to try? Seriously, if that doesn’t scream ‘old,’ I don’t know what does…Spiders are rejoicing everywhere.

5) I went to bed at 9 pm the other night, and I didn’t have to wake up early the next day…

In all fairness to my age, work has been hectic lately, so maybe that’s why I’ve been so tired. However, let’s pretend it’s because I’m too tired from fighting Orcs, and building a time machine that will take me back in time to romance Robert Downey Jr.

Tired T-Rex – A to Z challenge

A to Z challenge letter: T

Tired T-Rex

Life is hectic and tired is a common word used on a daily basis. It is not a bad feeling, but it is a warning that your body needs rest. Sometimes, I don’t know how seniors can withstand a daily walk after retirement. Some days I feel like I’m 120 years old, but that happens during hectic weeks. Do you have those days when you can barely make it pass the front door? Your eyes can barely stay open and all you want to do is sleep for 10 days straight. How about when you want to take a shower? I know when I’m tired and I want to take a bath, I go in as soon as I go pass the front door, because if I sit for just a second, I end up sitting for hours. I love my tea after work or a glass of red wine, and just sit, relax, and enjoy my shows on Netflix. Listen to your body, when you feel very tired, just go to sleep (if you can). Your body needs to recharge to continue. Hopefully, when/if I’m an oldie, I won’t feel as tired.

I’m going to the gym tonight! Yea right…

The thought is what counts…that’s what I’m telling myself right now to justify not going to the gym tonight. I woke up and told myself I was going to go to a gym class after work and I was going to rock it!

Yup, that didn’t happen. I had a long, but awesome day at work! I’m not complaining at all, but as soon as  I got home I was done for the day! I’m still going to exercise, I just won’t do an intense gym class :p. But, I can totally see myself exercising this way right now:

I don’t want to push myself too hard, so I listen to what my body says. Today my body says, do not push it, and so I won’t. Does this happen to you?
