Weekly Photo Challenge: Spring

Another Friday, another Photo Challenge. The theme for this week is ‘Spring’. I love it! Sadly, Ontario isn’t being a great host for Spring so far, but it’s getting there. The temperatures are definitely higher, but I would like to see a bit more sunshine. Here are a few pictures about Spring. Enjoy!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Monument

This week’s Photo Challenge is all about monuments! I’d like to start with a well-known monument, which is the CN Tower located in Toronto, Canada. The last 2 photos are monuments that captured my attention. The second gives me the feeling that something is underneath the earth, kind of like Alice in Wonderland. In the third photo you can see a cabin on your right-hand side. It looks like it is hidden. Enjoy :)!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Street Life

It’s Friday people!!!!!! I hope you’re all done your work for today and are ready to enjoy the weekend, and even if you have to work on the weekend, I hope all goes well! I love weekends, regardless of whether I have to work or not. There’s something about the word ‘weekend’ that makes it sound relaxing. Today also brings another Weekly Photo Challenge. I have 2 photos to share, showing a different perspective of street life.

This photo was taken in Toronto on a calm day, showcasing a view of the CN Tower (it may look small, but it’s huge). I snapped the photo during a weekday, which is why the streets don’t look as busy as they usually are. You learn to appreciate the city more when you have it this way.

ImageHere’s a photo taken during the Winter Olympics in Vancouver 2010. I wanted to show this, because this is what life was like during the Olympics. It was hectic, but it was fun. There was a huge diversity of people from all over the world, everyday during the event. I miss it, it was a celebration everyday throughout the entire city and where they held the winter games. I’m glad I was part of it all!

I hope you enjoyed these photos. Take care and live happily! You’re breathing today and that’s a gift 🙂

Weekly Photo Challenge: Reflections

If you want to participate, check out the weekly photo challenge page: http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2014/03/21/weekly-photo-challenge-reflections/

My photo isn’t the literal interpretation of a reflection; which is reflection in the water. But, it is a photo that I took in a moment when I wanted to get away from the city. I wanted to create a different world where I could escape without having to travel anywhere. This was taken during sunset. It is important to lose yourself and escape the harsh realities of our world. At the same time, it is also very important to come back and face your struggles. How else do you expect to become stronger?

Place taken: Vancouver, BC (you can tell by the rainy clouds :p).

Weekly Photo Challenge: Treasure

This is my first post for the Daily Post’s challenge of the week. Go to this page if you’d like to join: http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2014/02/14/photo-challenge-treasure/

There is one treasure I have, love. I took this photo years ago. I love when clouds make this awesome shapes! But this summarizes everything. It is a heart, and to us, heart is a symbol of love.

There aren’t many people who are lucky enough to be loved. We must be grateful that not only we are loved, but that we have the ability TO love. Even when there are times when you feel you can’t love (i.e. heartbreak), others will be there to show you that you are loved. Love can blind you from seeing it, but only love can regain your eyesight. In the end, love can hurt, but only love can heal.

Love comes in different forms. You can love through Faith (if used correctly), family, friends, pets, and even objects. I love my stuffed animals, but obviously not on the same level as I love my family. But, it’s still love. Love is a gift for your comfort. When you really love someone or something, you enter into a dimension where you cannot hurt. That is not to say you cannot GET hurt, but it prevents YOU from hurting someone.

Love should be simple, we should just love one another. But, in the real world, it is complicated. Perhaps, we can try to make it simple. You love, I love, we live happily ever after. Like this turtle…
