A kiss welcomed me home!

There’s nothing like coming home to relax and forget the stress in life. In the midst of all troubles, it is nice when I’m welcome into my house with a kiss…a Hershey’s chocolate kiss that is! It is a great alternative to eating a whole chocolate bar – there are those days when I really need to devour one, though – but it’s sweet, delicious and satisfying. It also helps that the unwrapping process does not require of your muscles, and you can start eating one in two seconds. I love anything that has chocolate, but I’m not a big fan of dark or pure chocolate; they’re too strong for me. Seriously, why is it that the healthy sweets are the ones that taste the worst? Life is twisted, I’m telling you.

Have a Happy Friday everyone! Be safe and satisfy those chocolate cravings 😀

Poem – Jumbled Soul

Image

Jumbled Soul

When wrapped in screaming thorns

where the light is blocked by solitude

trials with abundant errors

without the will of recouping hope

~~~
The enervate emotion of a jumbled soul
perpetuates its most splendid wishes
to dangle from its potential fulfilment
and falsely misinform its heart and mind
~~~

Without the effort to console its true destiny

it dissipates from its surroundings

eluding its self-worth

and endangering its serendipity

~~~
It must pause and rely on instinct
and cautiously proceed onto the next path
embracing its perspective
as to attain its safest pace
~~~

Poetry: Watering Flowers

If I’m watering flowers

I ignore your place

I hesitate and deny my hearing

I cannot face my worst fear.

 ~~~
When our stares meet
our flawed desires vanish
our souls are in peril
I loathe the emotions
do not smear your darkness.
~~~

The birds sing misery

I feel the strong currents

the petals drop on my feet

I do not look back.

~~~
Stop looking, they sing
it will not return
my sentiments are drained
why is it lost?
~~~

Wailing lament

floating with grief

waiting to sink

waiting to crash

waiting to be whole again.

Random Photo of the Day #5…with a Story Starter!

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I’m stuck indoors, because we have a freezing rain warning (Ontario is still stuck in Winter). So, it’s time for another random photo!

I starter a new blog posts series today, so if you want to check it out, here it is: Through the eyes of my childhood

This photo was taken in Vancouver, BC, in 2010. It was the year of the Winter Olympics and I was living there then. Honestly, it was such a great time for the city! Lots of events, lots of athletes, and of course the Olympic cauldron. I witnessed the Olympic torch being carried throughout the city, met Walter Gretzky (hockey fans know who he is), and ice skater Patrick Chan (who won silver at Sochi). Overall, it was good times!

Story Starter: The incandescent fire was felt through their hands, as they sat by fire not only for warmth, but to light their damaged hearts…

cauldron

Of course! The world sort of rules me today (freezing rain)!

Shadows

A reign of denial

melting your soul

in incandescent fire

destroying your thoughts

by infinite Shadows.

~

Logic and purpose questioned

covered in a bandage of despair and regret

breathless and paralysed

falling into an abyss of Shadows.

~

Songs of sorrow shatter hopes

cementing its vile without warning

through shameless lament

sent from the Shadows.

~

Away they must go

alone I feel the need to be

stop crashing onto me

let them take me, these Shadows.

~

Tears down your cheeks

why are you not listening

will they help me

what if they take them?

these are Shadows.

~

If reaching your hand will vanish them

why am I reluctant?

You can’t transform me

these are powerful Shadows.

If I must trust, I could try

but you must pull me fast

from the Shadows.

~

It is safe, but why are you covering my eyes?

I promise, I will not look back.

 your hand has vanquished,

the Shadows.

~

You have conquered,

me?

We have conquered,

the Shadows.

Of course! The world doesn’t rule me today
