Because animals are hilarious creatures – A to Z challenge

Because it is Wednesday, it’s time for another letter: (see? I even typed that letter in Bold, which starts with ‘B’).

A to Z challenge: Letter A

~~~
Because animals are hilarious creatures
Be loving to animals, we share the world with them. Yes, there are dangerous ones out there, and I’m not saying go give them a hug and get killed in the process. All I want to say is that you should appreciate them. I’m not fully there, yet. I loathe spiders still and I’m still trying not to squash them, but hey, baby steps! There are a lot of funny creatures out there, do you know how many times I’ve played ‘stare’ with a squirrel? Well, not many times, but when I did, it made my day. Oh! That time I saw a couple of butterflies dancing in the air (or mating, depends on how you see it), and they were beautiful. I usually see a lot of geese and ducks and most of them don’t care if I walk by them, but there are some that are very territorial. The same goes for the seagulls, who seem to have a craving every second and try to steal my food –Pfft! The joke’s on them, they’ll still be hungry after eating my food. But, it’s still hilarious. I do get annoyed sometimes by creatures like the crows. I gotta give them credit, they’re smart and sneaky! I remember one day they literally formed a flying line (like planes about to land) and stole my sandwich right out of my hand! Then, the seagulls came and they all fought for it, so that was hilarious (karma crows!).
But you see, that’s how they are and that’s how they adapt. The bees and I have been getting along for the past 2 years (knock on any piece of wood you have), and even though it is sort of my fault when they chase me (hey, I’m not going to stop wearing my colourful dresses), they seem to know they need to keep their distance. Besides, the bees make my favourite treat, honey! Isn’t it hilarious? They scare the beehives out of me, but they repay me with honey! So, it’s a win-win; they have their fun, and I have my dessert. So, it’s not all so bad, and some animals are photogenic (photographers rejoice!). Let’s give them a break, at least for today :D.
Appreciate animals and sometimes, they’ll make your day. Despite their occasional annoyance, they’ll give you something to share with others. Life’s too short, enjoy them while it lasts.
Random Photo(s) of the Day #12…with a Story Starter…and Ellie’s daily update
Hi everyone! I hope the new week has been treating you well! IF NOT, let me know and I’ll call upon my army of penguins.
I added a little something extra to the title, because my random photo post has turned into updates, as well. It’s okay, though. It spices things up over here :D.
I woke up thinking it was Monday, but I guess my brain played an April Fools’ joke on me :p. Today was a good day, I went for a long walk (it’s finally sunny in Ontario!), and wrote my first post for the A to Z Challenge. I have a huge craving for cinnamon rolls, so I’ll probably have an unhealthy breakfast tomorrow. I’m learning French using the app called ‘Duolingo’. I know the basics, and I started using the app about 3 months ago, but I’ve been neglecting it. I have a French background so it’s only fitting that I learn the language. I already speak Spanish, so that’s out of the way (also have a Spanish background). Here’s hoping one day I’ll translate some of my work in French!
Today’s photos are of the most wonderful thing, okay ONE of the most wonderful things, in my life…drum roll please…FLOWERS. I love flowers, preferably colourful ones, but I’m not picky. I also love it when bees do not fly around them. I use flowers to let people know I care, to show my love, gratitude, or as a random gesture. I really do not need an excuse to give out flowers; I even give myself flowers (as sad as that may seem). Enjoy these photos and hope you have an awesome Tuesday and/or Wednesday (depending where you live). Ta ta for now!
Oh honey, honey!
I don’t like bees. Everyone knows that. Am I allergic to bees? Maybe. When I was little (I think 2 years old) I had a reaction to a bee sting, but I haven’t been stung since then (thank goodness!!! I’m in my late 20s now and I hope I never get stung). But, I have my respects to these little (creepy) creatures. They make the best dessert and sweetener in the universe (I say universe, in case aliens don’t have bees), honey!
My palate loves to indulge in its sweet goodness. It has health benefits and you can mix it with foods or eat as is. I LOVE honey with tea. My favourites are chamomile, peppermint, and rooibos tea. I don’t like to put sugar in it, so I put honey. Even if I’m buying it at a coffee shop, I ask for honey. Even when I eat pancakes or waffles, I use honey…and/or maple syrup 😉
Why not treat yourself with such a natural delight? It has wonderful health benefits, and satisfies your sugar cravings! Fine, I still love chocolate, but you know what I mean :D, so don’t ruin this moment!
^^^ This is not a picture of a bee, but still nature :p, and yes I took this picture. I don’t like bees, so I don’t think I’ll ever take a picture of one. I might for the sake of my art, though. We’ll see.
Of course! The world doesn’t rule me today 😀
