Stench – A to Z challenge

A to Z challenge letter: S

Stench

First of all, this is NOT about people who are mentally unable, have no access to water, and don’t have the means -this is about those who CAN – so, for the love of everything you hold dear, if you can afford to take a shower/bath and can buy products (even if it means dollar store), then could you please stop murdering my nose, eyes, the will to remain on this planet, and do so?! If you want to stink up your place, fine do it, but when you decide to join the outside world, have respect for others and do not smell. It is so simple. You don’t have to buy expensive bath products nor take a long time in the water, but at least try to mask it with a bit of perfume — just do something. If you have allergies or your skin gets dry, then buy natural products; there are some that aren’t expensive (I buy them). If you have an apartment or a house with running water, you can take a bath. It’s common sense! I’ve heard homeless people wishing for a meal, a warm place and a shower! It is a privilege to even have water. The lurking pestilence that emits when you don’t bathe is not flattering. It’s like those people who own expensive cars and drive them dirty. Please, if you can afford to show off such an expensive car, then you can afford to drive it by a car wash or at least wash it yourself. Honestly, I don’t want to sound mean, but enough is enough!

On a positive note, stinky people can be a good way to control unnecessary cravings. Every time they pass by me, I lose any sugar craving I had at that moment.

  1. Have to agree with you there – this is not the middle ages people and bathing is essential when living in such close confines as we do in this modern world. Catching a crowed bus, train or worse and elevator with the ‘unwashed’ is enough to send me dashing for a bio-hazard suit. Ewwww is all I can say about it.
