I have tried many times to read on the Elliptical machine, the bike, or while walking on the treadmill. I failed. It wasn’t because I got distracted — although, I do tend to — but it was the motion. I even tried to read in cars before and I couldn’t do it. I don’t get nauseated or anything, but it annoys me.
How about you?
❤ ❤ ❤ Love, Ellie ❤ ❤ ❤
I’ve been running on the treadmill with my phone sitting against the console, so i can read the subtitles of foreign movies on it, keeps me distracted from the exercise and makes it enjoyable 🙂
how lucky! I am only able to read the music titles on my ipod LOL
It wasn’t an overnight thing though, took a lot of practice LOL 😀
I’ve tried it and it won’t work for me :(. At least, I can watch tv and plug the headphones onto the machines LOL. The gym I go to doesn’t use captions.
At least you get to watch something while working out eh? 🙂 maybe an audio book if you want to change it up a bit?
that’s a good idea. Although, it might make me sleepy :p
on an elliptical?? lol 😉
no no, only if I’m walking on the treadmill :p
oOh! I stretch and run, only walking on cool down, unless I’m almost finishing an episode on my phone then I spend a little more time walking 😀
I can read in the car, but I’ve never tried reading while working out! Unless reading subtitles on the little tv in front of the treadmill counts.. If so the motion doesn’t bother me 🙂
So jealous! I wish I could read in the car. Even when I was little, I was only able to listen to music and read the writing on my CDs haha (oh the good old days), but never reading. When I read txts in the car (when I’m a passenger, just to clarify that lol), it is okay, I can handle that :p
Well, I can read in the car. I was glued to my books in the car when I was a teenager, even reading by the light of the lighpoles in the dark. I don’t exercise so can’t say if I could read while working out!
I wish I could read in the car (I’m okay with cell phones, though). At least I’m fine reading when the lights are shimmered :p
Can’t do it ! I’ve tried. I always tell myself I’ll read as I’m on the stair master and I always prove that it’s impossible lol you’re not alone
oh I’m glad I’m not the only one! I can read on my phone, but even then it feels odd. I tried magazines and that didn’t work, either. Ah well!
